Come and join one of Vermont’s biggest Memorial Day Parade on May 30, 2016. The event will start at 11:00 am at the High School and throughout the city to end at the Vergennes City Park. Approximately 2 miles of participants will be participating in the parade like color guards, veterans’ groups, Boy Scouts, Girls Scouts, lots of colorful floats, antique cars, parade horses, fire trucks, the Greater Burlington Cellarsavers, 12 marching bands, kids on bikes and a lot more.
This is a free activity so everyone from all ages can participate and enjoy the fun! Be sure to come early because portions of Monkton Road, Main Street, South Maple Street, Victory Street, Green Street and the City Green are closed during the parade at around 10:30 am to 1:00pm. Parking is available but do take note that the High School will not allow parking inside. Watch the parade from anywhere along the parade route: Vergennes Union High School, Monkton Road, Main Street (Route 22A), South Maple Street, Victory Street, Green Street and the City Green.
